Cancellation and Refund Policy

Sussex Film Office (SFO) is committed to ensuring you always receive an excellent and film friendly service.

We know that filming requirements can change regularly and often at short notice, and as such we will do our upmost to ensure flexibility.

However depending on the application, costs may have been incurred post-filming/shooting that will need to be covered. Examples of these costs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Overrun fees

  • Staff Overtime fees

  • Electricity fees

  • Damage fees

Should this be the case for your production/application, we will endeavour to inform you of these costs as soon as possible and settle the balance with you accordingly.

We understand that sometimes, despite the best planning, you may need to cancel at short notice. It is likely that some administration costs will have been incurred and as such are non-refundable.

Please note that payments for additional services such as (but not limited to), road closure notices or parking suspensions, are liable to third party cancellation policies and as such will be reviewed on a case by case basis- unfortunately we cannot guarantee a full refund of these charges.

For these reasons it is necessary for SFO to secure funds from our clients in advance of releasing permits, licences, and other filming/photography agreements.

If you should need to cancel your application, please us know in writing (via email hello@sussexfilmoffice.co.uk) as soon as possible.

Applications and productions cancelled within 5 working days of the agreed filming/shooting date will be subject to 50% of the Grand Total cost.

Applications and productions cancelled within 24 hours of the agreed filming/shooting date will be subject to 100% of the Grand Total cost.

If you have any queries about your specific application, please discuss these with the member of staff processing your application.
